HP Inc is to cut 3,000 to 4,000 positions over the next three years as part of a restructuring move. The company is hoping to make savings of $200 million to $300 million per year, although it estimates the one off cost at $500 million. The company cited increasing pressures in the PC and printer markets for the need to cut cost. HP Inc had around 50,000 staff at the time of the split, so this represents 6% to 8% of the current headcount.
