High-Resolution on Compact Philips Monitor

MMD’s latest Philips monitor, the 258B6QJEB, is not only designed with CAD-CAM work in mind: eco-friendliness is also important. The 25″ unit contains 65% recycled plastics, and its housing is free of both PVC and BFR.

Intended for use in colour-critical applications and those that require very sharp images, the display has 2560 x 1440 resolution. Its LED backlight is flicker-free and the outer bezel is 2.5mm thick (plus an inner border of 3.5mm). So that use will be as comfortable as possible, the monitor can be tilted (-5° to 20°), swivelled (130°) and pivoted (90°); it is also height-adjustable (130mm).

An AH-IPS panel features 178° viewing angles, a 14ms response time (the SmartResponse feature lowers this to 5ms) and 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Brightness is 350 cd/m².

As well as two 2W speakers, the monitor features DisplayPort, HDMI, dual-link DVI, VGA, USB 2.0 (x2) and USB 3.0 (x2) ports. It is on sale now, for £220 ($335) ex VAT.
