Reports from Taiwan say that increasing demand for small pixel pitch LEDs is increasing strongly and it plans to increase its capacity for LEDs from 600 million to 1 billion per month. Smaller sizes including 2mm pitch are moving into the mainstream and the increased pixel density boosts unit demands. The reports quote annual demand in small pixel pitch applications as around 141.3 billion in 2016 with around 27% growth expected in 2017 and 22% in 2018.
