Eizo Adds 16:10 24″ Touch Monitor to ATC Range

Eizo in Germany announced the Raptor RP2425 24.1″ monitor with 1920 x 1200 resolution for Air Traffic Control (ATC) towers. The panel is an IPS model and has a 14ms response time with contrast of 1,000:1. The touch is provided by a PCap system and is also available in a non-touch version. The display uses Eizo’s backlight control system to allow brightness ranges of anywhere between 10 to 700 cd/m² (750 cd/m² for the non-touch version) to allow for the wide range of viewing conditions. There is a an adjustment dial for operators, and the monitor has an integrated sensor for long term stability. The monitor is designed for 24/7 operation.

Inputs are VGA, DisplayPort and DVI-D and there is two port USB hub integrated. Maximum power consumption is 75W at maximum brightness.

The design uses a metal case and is fanless. A range of customisation options is available on request and the new monitor will be shown at the World ATM Congress 2017 in Madrid, Spain March 7 – 9, 2017.
