This week we are highlighting LCD monitors in the 17″ standard category. There are 11 brands featured in the advertising with Iiyama, NEC Displays and Acer the top three. In France, Iiyama was top followed by Acer in second and Philips in third. In Germany, Dell and Iiyama were joint top followed by Acer in third and in the UK, NEC Displays was top followed by Iiyama in second and Acer in third.
Over the three countries, Iiyama’s ProLite B1780SD-1 is top followed by Acer’s V176LBMD in second and the Philips 17S4SB in third. In France, Iiyama takes the top two positions with the ProLite B1780SD-1 and the ProLite E1780SD-B1 followed by Acer’s VL176LBMD in third. In Germany, Iiyama is top with the ProLite B1780SD-1 followed by the Philips 17S4SB in second and HP’s ProDisplay P17A in third spot, while in the UK, the top three models were Iiyama’s ProLite B1780SD-1, Acer’s V176LBMD and HP’s ProDisplay P17A .
The average dollar price was down 13% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was 14% YoY, while in Germany it was down 24% and in the UK it was down 12%. The minimum price in February for a 17″ standard LCD monitor was $92.62 plus tax.
