Diebold Nixdorf showed a new slim ATM/POS terminal at the NRF event in the USA that it claims is the slimmest in the world at just 10″ (25cm). The Extreme Self-Checkout Concept (ESCC) can accept cash, card and contactless payments and has a touch display. It is available with an option to include a reader for OMV chips as well as magnetic stripes. The firm has developed an app so that consumers can use the app to scan the purchases and then pay at the ESCC terminal.
