Turkey and the cities and airports South from Turkey and through the Middle East are very well positioned between Europe and Asia and there is a lot of competition with cities such as Dubai to act as a hub between the two regions. This is a prestigious win for Vestel, which has only had limited success in its professional display business, which has mainly been successful in its own region, where Vestel is very much a ‘local hero’ brand. The company is the biggest maker of TVs for the European region.
