Broadpeak Claims 90% Latency Drop for OTT

Broadpeak, of Rennes, France and a supplier of content delivery network (CDN) technologies and live and VoD servers for content providers and pay-TV operators worldwide said that it has a new low latency service that can reduce the latency on video streaming by 90%, bringing the experience of OTT much closer to full IPTV, without the big buffering issues of some services. The technology uses the firm’s nanoCDM multicast technique which manages multicast/singlecast streams.
