Aurora Multimedia’s new 8×8 matrix switcher can handle UltraHD resolution (30fps) and is controllable through any device with a web browser. The ASP-88-4K is part of the Aspyre series, routing video and 7.1-channel audio from eight HDMI inputs to eight HDMI outputs. As well as HDMI, the switcher features RS232 and RJ45 ports. Protocols enable hot plug detection; signal detection; EDID table loading/recalling and presets.
Aurora’s switcher can route 3D; is rack mountable; and switches channels in 2-5 seconds. It measures 430 x 220 x 44mm and is available now. Pricing is on request.
