At Cedia, Atlona introduced the entum Series AT-CENT-301-CEA, which it claims as the industry’s first HDR-compatible video extender that can deliver 4K/UHD video @ 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps, using DisplayStream compression. It’s HDCP 2.2 compliant and provides HDMI transmission up to 330 feet (100 metres) as it is based on HDBaseT. It supports Power over ethernet (the receiver is powered by the transmitter). It will be available in March 2017 for an MSRP of $1,499.99.
