Apple might have only recently revealed its 2018 line-up of iPhones after months of speculation, but already the rumour mill has whirred into action, with TianFeng Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo predicting that the company will launch a similar trio of handsets in 2019 — specifically, that one of the three will feature an LCD display like the iPhone XR.
Kuo isn’t even the first to make this kind of prediction — back in June, long before the launch of this year’s iPhones, speculation around the 2019 line-up was already in full swing, with several outlets reporting that Apple would not be moving to an all-OLED line-up in 2019.
Shortly after its official launch, Kuo adjusted his shipment ratio prediction for the iPhone XR up to 55-60% of the entire range, with the iPhone XS conversely falling to 10-15%.
