Twin Pines reconstructs 16th-century Seville for ‘The Plague’

It’s not really a display story, but who can resist a good visual effects show reel? A programme called La Peste, developed in Spain by Movistar+, and with effects by Twin Pines of Madrid, has been very successful and had 500 shots created by 35 artists. A show reel, including shots of the virtual 16th century city of Seville, is shown below.

The whole process generated a volume of data for VFX of around 50 terabytes and over 19,500 hours of rendering. Nuke Studio software by Foundry played an instrumental role in the project by enabling VFX, editing and finishing with one single application.
