Marshall offers a line of camera-top monitors going for $150 to $3,000. At NAB 2015, the company introduced a new 7” model to complement offerings at 5.6”, 8.4”, 9” and 10”.
The new 7” V-LCD70-AFHD features a resolution of 1024 x 600, HDMI, 3GSDI, composite and component inputs and Marshall’s Peaking Filter focus assist all in one monitor. Operators can also apply Picture-in-Picture, Image Flip, Screen Markers, False Color and Zebra filters.
“The V-LCD70-AFHD is designed for the videographer who moves between HD, 3G and analog formats and needs a monitor that is ready for whatever the job requires”, says Devan Cress, Director Sales, Broadcast A/V.
The V-LCD70-AFHD has a bright 500 cd/m² screen and 700:1 contrast ratio. The intuitive menu is fully accessible from the front of the monitor, where adjustments can be made to color, exposure, picture orientation, or aspect ratio of the image from full screen to 4:3, 14:9 and 16:9.
Marshall also updated its line of rack-mount broadcast monitors. New is a 17.3” model (V-LCD17HR) than has dual 3G-SDI inputs, waveform and vectorscope and more. It is available in June for $2,999 MSRP.
The M-LYNC line packs 2 or 3 monitors in a rack-mount. The M-LYNC-702 ($799, June) has dual 7” displays, while the M-LYNC-702W ($1,295, now) adds vectorscope and waveform analysis. The M-LYNC-505 ($1,500, June) offers three 5” monitors without vectorscope or waveform.
