Belgian public broadcaster VRT accomplished the trial remote production of a live musical concert, using IP and open standards, on the 15th January. The remote production set-up was an extension of a full IP local studio set-up previously demonstrated by the LiveIP project group. A 10km-long optical fibre cable connected the venue to the VRT control room. The cable carried an optical fibre network. Around 25Gbps were transferred for all four IP cameras, 10 microphones, intercoms, telepresence and controls over the single cable, without delay.
