Vivitek’s new D4000 Series of Laser Projectors Has High Output

Vivitek (Delta) has launched a new D4000 Series of laser phosphor projectors that are claimed to offer high performance for medium sized conference rooms without a weight and size penalty – the units weigh 10kg. The light sources are claimed to have a 20,000 hour life and up to 5,500 Ansi lumens of output with up to 20,000:1 contrast.

The series uses a 0.65″ DMD chip from TI and an anti-dust sealed optical engine for optimised light efficiency, image quality preservation and a long lifespan. The company said that the units have advanced cooling can operate with a slower fan speed, which results in it being far quieter and less obtrusive than other projectors. Second, the improved cooling protects the projector from high temperatures, extending its operating life.

The projectors are equipped with a 1.65x zoom fixed lens with Vertical and Horizontal lens shift (Vertical: +14%; Horizontal: ±2.5%) and 1.21 to 2.00 throw ratio. Connectivity includes HDBaseT and there are dual 5W speakers. Dicom simulation is included for medical review (not diagnostics).

Warranty is five years for the projector and three years or 10.000h on the Laser Phosphor illumination source.(whichever comes first)

Resolution options are 1280 x 800, 1920 x 1080 and 1920 x 1200.
