UniPixel, which makes performance engineered films, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Foxconn subsidiary General Interface Solution (GIS). The MOU says that the two companies will form a strategic manufacturing project to address the volume production requirements of UniPixel’s various design wins. Applications include All-in-one, convertible and notebook PCs. This will initially be for three years but is extendable by agreement. It is envisaged that the two companies could also enter a separate development project to co-develop integrated touch displays for bendable and foldable applications.
