Toshiba says that its new TC358860XBG is the industry’s first embedded DisplayPort (eDP)-to-MIPI dual-Display Serial Interface (DSI) converter IC. The chip supports video format conversion and compression technology for video inputs at resolutions up to DCI-4k at 60fps. Resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 can be transferred uncompressed.
Suitable for use in handheld devices and convertible PCs, the TC358860XBG is contained in a 5mm² package.
