Texas Instruments has introduced a USB-C and Power Delivery minidock (51 x 102mm) reference design, which can support USB data, power, video and audio signals. The reference design can take power from a USB-C or regular power adapter or a notebook. The TPS65982 USB-C and PD controller is at the heart of the design; this chip enables dual-role USB-C functionality, can carry 60W of power and supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB data transmission.
