Televisions Now in 95% of Czech Homes

According to a survey conducted by Nielsen Admosphere, televisions were in 95% of homes in the Czech Republic as of the end of 2017. 90% of TV-owning households in the country also included at least one flat screen television, while two-thirds of respondents said they watched HD channels.

Meanwhile, the average TV viewing time in the country has grown from 3 hours and 14 minutes in 2007, up to 3 hours and 45 minutes in 2017. This is all despite additional growth in the ownership of smartphones and mobile devices. Smartphone ownership grew by 10% year-on-year, up to 59%, notebooks grew 4% to 56%, and tablets grew 3% to 25%
