Teledyne LeCroy has announced a new DisplayPort 1.4 Video Generator & Protocol Analyzer Module that supports HBR3 to support up to 8.1 Gbps data rates on up to four lanes. The module fits the firm’s Quantumdata 980B Advanced Test Platform. The module has input and output for testing both sources and also for testing DisplayPort monitors.
A variety of future enhancements to the 980 DisplayPort 1.4 solution are planned including support for Digital Stream Compression (DSC) and Forward Error Correction (FEC).
