The company’s robust performance was primarily driven by the recovery of the market and the success of the 618 shopping festival in the People’s Republic of China (PRC), where shipments increased by 14.0% year-over-year (YoY) and 43.1% quarter-over-quarter (QoQ).

In 1H23, shipments of TCL TVs measuring 65 inches and above increased by an impressive 67.8% YoY, accounting for 22.5% of the total shipment during the period. This upward trend indicates a growing preference for large-sized TVs among consumers, according to the company.

In the first half of 2023, the company’s TCL MiniLED TVs maintained their leading position globally, with shipments increasing by 114.5% YoY. Additionally, shipments of quantum dot (QLED) TVs surged by 69.9% during the same period. Notably, during the 618 shopping festival, TCL’s MiniLED TVs, QLED TVs, 75-inch and above TCL TVs, as well as 98-inch large TVs, all ranked first in terms of both sales revenue and sales volume in their respective categories. The company recently launched the TCL Q10H flagship MiniLED TV with advanced features such as micron-level MiniLEDs, an XDR peak brightness of 3,000 nits, and an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 30M:1.

In addition to its TV offerings, TCL Electronics’ subsidiary, TCL RayNeo2, released the upgraded version of its XR smart glasses, RayNeo Air Plus, and RayNeo Pocket. The RayNeo Air Plus supports a maximum equivalent screen display of 215 inches at a distance of 6 meters and uses MicroLED display technology. It offers 1080p resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and can be connected to various devices, including mobile phones, tablet PCs, and laptops. During the 618 shopping festival, TCL RayNeo ranked first in terms of total sales volume and total sales revenue in the augmented reality category on Chinese e-commerce sites, JD.com and Tmall.

In 1H23, the company achieved a 12.9% YoY increase in shipments to international markets and a 12.8% YoY increase in domestic markets.
