SMPTE is holding one of its Emerging Technology webcasts on Thursday 6th October at 1pm EDT, 10am PDT, 5pm UTC and 6pm BST. The theme is Uber Master Creation using an HDR Movie Projector and Thad Beier of Dolby Laboratories will be talking about the future of colour grading. He will discuss the problems of creating content which looks good on a variety of projectors, enlarging on his own preference to grade first on a high dynamic range, wide gamut projector and then toning down for other projectors.
