Sources in Asia are pointing to shortages of key components of displays as well as memory and optical sensors as being potential blocks to the growth of brands below the top rank that are trying to boost their shares, particularly Chinese vendors. Huawei may try to get to 150 million units, up from 139 million, with Vivo aiming to get over 100 million. A desire to compete at the high end means that these brands will want to use OLED displays, but these will be in very short supply.
