UK-based organic thin film transistor (OTFT) manufacturer SmartKem has entered into a new partnership with an unnamed Chinese TFT-LCD and AMOLED display manufacturer.
The new deal will allow the co-development of OTFT-based LCD displays, with a view to developing OTFT-based OLED screens in the future. The new technology will be designed utilising SmartKem’s solution coat TFT stack materials and organic semiconductors.

As we mentioned above, SmartKem is keeping its lips firmly sealed regarding the identity of its new partner, but CEO Steve Kelly did say:
