Sky has made a small investment in Caavo, which was started by a group including a founder of Slingbox, Blake Krikorian (although he has since, unexpectedly died). Other founders came from Echostar and Violet3D (audio). Caavo says it is working on “the missing link between your TV and you”, but is basically in stealth mode. Separately, Sky in the UK has stopped offering its Sky+ boxes and is exclusively offering the Sky Q box which supports a similar architecture to SAT>IP but does not support the standard.
