SES is to broadcast The Country Network (TCN), a country music channel, in UltraHD in North America. Three satellites will be used and the infrastructure means that the content is able to reach all cable homes.

The US SES UltraHD bouquet now includes NASA TV UHD, Fashion One 4K, C4K360, the SES demo channel, UHD1, 4KUnivers, Funbox UHD, Nature Relaxation 4K, Travelxp 4K, and Insight TV.
Separately, the company said that Travelxp 4K will be made available in Germany from 13th December on the HD+ platform in Germany and will be broadcast via Astra 19.2º East and will rely on MX1 for playout and uplink services.
SES is also starting to broadcast the 4KUniverse channel outside North America for the first time in Switzerland where it will be displayed by Swisscom.
