Foxconn Doubles OEM TV Volume in October

Sigmaintell released its data on the sales of TV OEM makers in October and the company confirmed Foxconn as the top maker which was 100% up on last year. Foxconn was driven by re-stocking of its Sharp brand and the relative success of Sony. It also launched the InFocus brand for TV in China which will have sets down to 32″. TPV was down because of the weakness of Chinese internet TV brands although LEG, BBY and Vizio are said to be recovering.

BOE was helped by shipments to Samsung and Chinese internet brands. CNC did well with domestic makers Haier, Changhong and Skyworth. TCL was helped by its new Miui brand. (Note that we calculated the smallest brands of Compal and Wistron from the total and chart as Sigmaintell didn’t state them).
