Worldwide semiconductor sales were up 9.1% YoY in November 2014, to $29.7 billion (from $27.2 billion), although this was a slight (0.1%) decrease MoM. The Semiconductor Industry Association said that year-to-date sales to November were 10% higher compared to 2013.
Semiconductor demand is strong in almost all semiconductor categories.
The APAC (12.3%) and Americas (11.1%) markets posted the most robust YoY growth, but growth was also up in Europe (3.4%), while it fell in Japan (4.5%). Compared to October, growth was up in the Americas (1.8%), but down in APAC (0.2%), Europe (0.7%) and Japan (2.6%).
