Sceptre Tempts With MHL and Low Price

Sceptre is targetting affordability with its new TVs, the 47.6″ E485BV-FMQR and 55″ E555BV-FMQR. Available now for $450/$530, respectively, the big selling point is the three HDMI ports (one with MHL) on each TV.

A swivel base enables the TVs to be swivelled up to 30 deg left or right if using the supplied stand. They are also Energy Star 6.1 certified and offer a parental control option.

Both models have 1920 x 1080 resolution and use IPS panels. These provide 178 deg viewing angles; an 8ms (grey-to-grey) response time; a 1,200:1 contrast ratio; and 60Hz refresh rate. The LED backlight supplies 250 cd/m
