RLM-W14 Brings HDBaseT to Barco

Barco’s first 3DLP projector with HDBaseT is the RLM-W14 – a fixed installation model for small- and medium-size venues. Also suitable for the rental and staging market, the projector features a rugged chassis, optional rental frame and warping and blending functions. It supports active 3D, picture-in-picture projection and can be controlled via an Android or iOS device.

An upgrade to 2012’s RLM-W12 (Display Monitor Vol 19 No 17), the W14 brings the brightness of Barco’s RLM series to 14,500 lumens, using dual 465W lamps. These will last between 2,000 and 2,500 hours. The TLD lenses used are also compatible with the W12.

HDBaseT means that the projector can accept video and audio over a single Cat-5 cable, up to 70m from the source. Integrated Barcolink technology also enables 1920 x 1200 content at 60Hz to be sent between Barco image processors and projectors via a single BNC cable.

Contrast is 1,650:1, with 1920 x 1200 resolution. There are eight lens options, ranging from a 0.73:1 fixed throw ratio to 7.5-11.5:1 zoom throw ratio. -70% – 130% vertical and +/-30% horizontal lens shift is built in. Featured ports are HDMI, dual-link DVI, HDBaseT, 5BNC, VGA, HD-/3G-SDI and RJ45.

The RLM-W14 measures 631 x 504 x 270mm and weighs 33.5kg. It will be available in October.
