The Eutelsat TV Observatory has said that satellite DTH was the primary TV reception mode in Europe at the end of 2014. Surveying 15 countries in Western Europe, the ETVO found that 32% of the 179 million homes covered used satellite DTH, up 7% (to 58.1 million homes) since 2010. Exclusive DTT reception is up to 48.2 million homes (from 44.2 million), while cable is down to 44.3 million (from 49.5 million). IPTV rose from 10 million homes to 28.7 million (15 million in France).
