A new study by RTL, the ‘IP Fourscreen Touchpoints’ study, reported in Telecompaper has revealed that linear TV is still the king of content delivery in Germany, with an 80% overall market share. 1,132 people from 14-59 were surveyed.
In the 14-25 age category, this figure dropped to 60%.
However, although young viewers like online services like Netflix, the study did not find that young people were watching any less linear television than those older than them, indicating that young people simply consume more content overall.
