Royole Corporation, which is developing OLED-based VR headsets, has raised $80 million in a ‘pre-D’ series funding from Warmsun Holding group, which values the company at $3 billion. The round brings the total raised so far to $200 million.

We have generally been impressed with the Royole products that we have seen so far. (Royole Introduces 3D AM-OLED HMD) The company has high dot density OLEDs that are less pixellated than other solutions, although headsets have been for private viewing rather than VR, so far. (BR)
