Turkish Airlines has selected Rockwell Collins’ EP-8100 image generators with JVC laser-illuminated projectors for pilot training for the airline’s new and existing fleet of aircraft.
All of Turkish Airlines’ existing flight simulators already include the company’s visual systems. The new contract is set to double the number of simulators by 2020, according to Rockwell Collins. The company’s Nick Gibbs commented:
“We will hit the ground running and ensure delivery of the first systems within the next six months. Turkish Airlines will also benefit from the system’s open, scalable architecture that allows for the easy addition of new features and enhancements”.
