JCDecaux SA has released its quarterly trading update for Q3. The company’s turnover in the quarter rose 6% year on year to €669.3 million from €631.6 million in the third quarter of last year. For the nine month period, the company’s revenue was 4.2% higher at €1.9 billion from €1.8 billion.
JCDecaux’s massive (120m²) Waterloo Motion digital billboard, in London, has won DailyDOOH’s Best Original Digital Billboard award for 2014. The company also took second and third place, with the Trafford Arch and Heathrow GrandView locations.
A US startup called Keyssa has developed its own solution to transfer data wirelessly. India’s KSS has entered the high resolution space with a Sony deal. KSS aims to install 3,000 DCI-4k cinema screens over the next 2-3 years. Over the next 18 months, it will invest INR1.5 billion ($24.4 million) in the purchase of 270 projectors.
