RDK Management’s Reference Design Kit (RDK), a pre-integrated software bundle for TV devices, now provides additional support for the DVB broadcast standard. The update has made in-band DVB Service Information (DVB-SI) elements available to the RDK community, largely thanks to contribution by Arris Group.

Witbe Supports UltraHD Conformance Testing

Witbe, which monitors the quality of experience for service providers’ and content owners’ IP video, has added UltraHD support to its product offering. The company is now able to perform lab testing and live monitoring, detecting conformance issues without downscaling, through an UltraHD set-top box’s HDMI output.
