Samsung Electronics in Germany has named Leif-Erik Lindner as business director for its TV and audio business in the country. Lindner, who took up his new position at the beginning of the year, has been with Samsung since 2008 in various sales leadership roles. Prior to joining Samsung, he held various management positions with Sony.
Virgin Atlantic has taken on Sony’s Smartwear wearable range, and is trialling its use for real-time communications. The company will use Sony’s Smart Eyeglass SED-E1 (developer edition) and the Smartwatch 3, as part of an eight-week trial at the UK’s Heathrow airport.
