Sonar experts in the US Navy have chosen colour LCD displays from Argon Corp to replace old CRT screens in use on submarines. Argon’s ARD17 17″ rugged military-spec display will be used to upgrade all legacy CRT displays in the fleet. At least 10 will be ordered, and possibly as many as 15.

Samsung Electronics in Germany has named Leif-Erik Lindner as business director for its TV and audio business in the country. Lindner, who took up his new position at the beginning of the year, has been with Samsung since 2008 in various sales leadership roles.
