Mediatek Inc. reported a slight year on year increase in first quarter turnover to NT$47.5 billion ($1.5 billion) from NT$46 billion ($1.5 billion) a year earlier, though net profit declined 28.5% to NT$7.2 billion ($235 million) from NT$10.4 billion ($339.5 million), Mediatek’s first drop in profit for 12 quarters.

Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa), the Czech broadcast network operator, has called for additional multiplexes to be made available during the DVB-T to DVB-T2 transition. The transition will be completed by 2020.
German network operator Media Broadcast has said that its planned DVB-T2 platform, which will be launched in early 2017, will offer up to 50 TV channels. The transition from DVB-T to -T2 is expected to be completed by 2019.
