UltraHD is a Challenge for Live TV

We saw a very interesting article in the SMPTE Newswatch newsletter on the challenges for live TV broadcasters that are created by the move to UltraHD. The article, by Michael Goldman, highlights how productions will probably use a mixture of FullHD and UltraHD cameras.

Researchers Develop 3D Holographic Projection

Two ‘fog screen’ prototype displays have been developed at the City University of Hong Kong. Using projectors to show images, the researchers (Bin Chen, Yaozhun Huang and Miu-Ling) Lam used projection mapping techniques on to a non-planar, reconfigurable fog screen.
