ST to Lay off Staff in France?

The staff are said to be working in the “Digital Products Group” (DPG), which is responsible for the STB SoC business which represented 15% of ST’s revenues in FY14.
Yahoo To Launch New TV Streaming Device?
Yahoo is reported to be considering releasing a streaming stick, while Google is expected to launch a new Chromecast stick next week that will make connections easier and add Chromecast Audio, which will allow the stick to connect directly to wired speakers.
EchoStar And Nagra Join for UltraHD Security
Nagra (Kudelski Group) said that it has shipped anyCast Command security to EchoStar for production of 4K-capable set-top boxes for the companies’ joint clients. anyCast integrates both decryption and descrambling (previously in the CA smart card and the Soc) into a single device.
