Sony plans to establish a smartphone manufacturing facility in Thailand, according to the Nikkei. A new production line will be added to an existing site in Pathum Thani Province, which has been suspended since the 2011 floods. Mass production will begin in 2016, with volumes reaching ‘several million’ units.
