HTC’s revenues were down 1.3% MoM, but 79.3% YoY, in March, to NT$4.1 billion ($127.6 million). In the year-to-date, HTC has registered revenues of NT$14.8 billion ($456.7 million): a 64.3% YoY drop.

Quanta Computer reported net profit for full year 2015 at NT$17.8 billion (US$538.91 million), down 5.6% YoY. Turnover for the period was NT$ 1 trillion ($30.23 billion), up 8.7% YoY. Net profit declined due to the effect of currency conversions.
Espial and Tele Columbus have successfully trialled an UltraHD video service in Germany, called ‘Advanced TV’. The Tele Columbus service is based on Espial’s video solutions. 83% of trial participants were said to show approval of the system, and 78% of the EPG. This was the first phase of an ongoing trial.
