Fransat, Eutelsat’s French division, broadcast the Vienna Opera ballet, ‘Le Corsaire’, live in UltraHD on the 2nd April, using Ateme’s Titan solution. Content was encoded at 50fps with 10-bit colour, using HEVC.

Italian public broadcaster Rai is working with Eutelsat to show seven matches from the Euro 2016 football tournament, in UltraHD on the Tivùsat free-to-view platform. The panels are based on thin glass substrates. The front-end of the production is ready now, and small volume production (around 700 panels per month) will begin next year.

iDklic, a Belgian provider of screens for pharmacies, is expanding its network. To date, more than 1,300 have been installed across Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Ireland. 260 more pharmacies have now signed with the company, and are installing screens now. Work began in November and is set to be completed by June.
