Japan’s Nikkei newspaper says that Apple has cut iPhone production, due to weak sales of the flagship iPhone 6S/6S Plus and rising inventory levels. 6S production was apparently reduced by 30% in calendar Q1’16. Component suppliers are quoted, saying that Apple told them that the lower output level will continue through June.
