Peerless-AV has appointed Johannes Scholz as its new distribution account manager for the DACH region. Scholz joins Peerless from Ricoh Deutschland, where he looked after sales of the company’s entire solutions portfolio. He also worked at Lexmark, Littlebit Technology and Avnet. Garmin reported Q1 2016 net profit of $103 million, down 8% Yoy from $111 million. Turnover increased 7% YoY to $624 million from $585 million. Despite the contraction in operating margin from 19.1% to 16.6%, the overall improvement across virtually all segments helped maintain the net profit.
LG Display has said that it will invest KRW450 billion ($391.4 million) to build production capacity for flexible OLED displays and lighting panels in South Korea.
