Google has begun to roll out Android 7.0 to its Nexus devices (excluding the Nexus 5 and earlier products). This version of the software adds new personalisation options, improved battery management and multitasking, as well as support for the Vulkan API and Google’s Daydream platform.
A source ‘familiar with Apple’s plans’ has told Japan’s Nikkei that the company will launch three iPhones next year – the most premium with a curved 5.5″ or larger OLED display. The other two phones (4.7″ and 5.5″) will have flat screens. David Hsieh of IHS expects these latter models to use LTPS LCD technology.

DIRTT Environmental Solutions has worked with Nanolumens to install an LED video wall at its Green Learning Centre in Chicago. The display is 3.8m x 1.9m and uses the Nanoslim Engage product, which has a 1.8mm pixel pitch. It replaces an old 1.2 x 0.6m LCD video wall.
Sky Deutschland’s Sky Sport Bundesliga UHD and Sky Deutschland will launch on Astra (19.2 degrees East) in autumn 2016 making the two UltraHD/4K channels available for DTH households.
