According to China’s Economic Daily News, Apple has asked Mediatek to quote for wireless charging chips for an iPhone case. Creating peripherals, such as cases, for wireless charging would be a new move for Apple. Mediatek refused to comment, but it is understood that NXP and IDT are also providing samples.
