TSMC Updates its Forecast

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) forecast earlier this year that its annual revenue would grow between 5% and 10% from NT$843.5 billion ($27 billion) last year. MediaTek Sees Record Sales

MediaTek saw record monthly turnover of NT$25.87 billion ($826.7 million) in August, up 36% YoY. This contributed to Q2 revenue of NT$72.53 billion ($2.3 billion), also a record. The company is expecting September to show equally impressive figures, with the increase attributed to high demand from China-based smartphone firms.
