Optoma’s new bright, short-throw projectors are now available in Europe. We saw one of the interactive models at ISE this year (Partnership Promotes Mapping at Optoma).
At 4,000 lumens, the EH320UST and W320UST (and interactive EH320USTi and W320USTi) are among the brightest UST projectors available in the market today, says Optoma. Fast set-up is supported by a new mounting system and automatic calibration via a PC. The wall mount with the projectors is supplied pre-assembled.
Touchbeam technology enables multiple users to interact with content using their fingers. Although only two of the four models feature interactivity, they can all show 3D content and feature Optoma’s power-saving technologies, such as Auto Power Off, Eco AV Mute and Quick Resume.
Several specifications are shared between all units. They can show 10-bit colour and feature HDMI (x2), VGA (x2), composite, USB, RJ45 and RS232 ports, as well as as 16W speaker. They use a 260W lamp, lasting 3,000 hours in bright mode. All models measure 385 x 310 x 99mm and weigh 4.8kg.
The EH320UST and EH320USTi have 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 0.25:1 throw ratio. They can throw an 80″ – 100″ image from 0.45m – 0.59m. The W320UST and W320USTi, though, have 1280 x 800 resolution and a 0.27:1 throw ratio. They can throw an 85″ – 115″ image from 0.49m – 0.66m.
The non-interactive models are available now, costing £1,250 ($1,925) (EH320UST) and £1,000 ($1,540) (W320UST). The interactive models will arrive shortly, for £1,415 ($2,180) (EH320USTi) and £1,165 ($1,800) (W320USTi), ex VAT.
